The Institute for Economic Advancement’s (IEA) Survey Research operation provides unbiased and comprehensive research efforts coupled with sound methodological approaches and reporting. Survey Research staff has many years of applied research experiences serving a wide range of clients, including businesses and industries, economic development entities, state/city/county governments and agencies, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and the public. Survey Research staff consults with clients to design and implement appropriate research methodology to meet client’s information needs. Research activities are conducted to assist clients with program evaluations, community needs assessments, measurement of customer awareness/satisfaction, strategic planning, decision support, industry/economic impact analysis, and assessing economic trends.

    • Paper-based mail surveys
    • Telephone surveys via CATI facility (computer-assisted telephone interviewing)
    • Internet surveys
    • Personal/face-to-face interviews
  • Qualitative data collection
    • Focus group sessions, with or without use of wireless polling keypads
    • Open-ended questions in telephone surveys, Internet surveys, mailed surveys, and in personal/face-to-face interview
