IEA Job Opportunities
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) ‘s Institute for Economic Advancement (IEA) is accepting applications for the following positions:
Senior Research Professor of Economics /
State Economic Forecaster. Main duties include maintaining, operating
the state econometric model, publishing quarterly forecasts in the Arkansas
Economic Outlook and presenting the state forecast at the semiannual forecast
conferences. A PhD degree in economics is required, experience with
applied econometrics and urban or regional economics preferred, oral and
written communication skills are necessary to present analytical results
to general business, governmental audiences, and the press. Download

Labor Education Specialist. Main
duties include: teaching courses in the core areas of steward training, collective
bargaining, arbitration, and effective leadership; developing course curriculum
and materials and teaching non credit courses for union members; coordinating
and teaching in statewide conferences; and marketing and recruiting for LEP
classes. A Master's degree in industrial relations or related field, and
union or labor education experience is preferred.

IEA is a university applied research and outreach center with a staff of more than 40 employees and has a successful history of performing unbiased research for the state/federal agencies and businesses.
