About the Library/Resource Center

Beginning January, 2003 the University of Arkansas, Institute for Economic Advancement (IEA) Research Library and the University of Arkansas’ Arkansas Small Business Development Center’s Resource Center were merged into one facility within the new Don Reynolds College of Business building, which now houses both organizations..

The IEA Research Library is a non-lending collection with the primary purpose of serving the information needs of IEA researchers, UALR faculty, students, state agencies, the business community as well as the general public. The library contains information in specialized areas such as agriculture, banking, census data, economics, education, finance, government, health, industry, labor, management and taxation. The library specializes in information pertaining to Arkansas and particularly to statistical data series. It also serves as a depository for the Arkansas State Data Center and the U.S. Census Bureau and their printed census materials.

The ASBDC Resource Center is also a non-lending collection of materials specializing in small business development and serves the information needs of entrepreneurial and small business development clients throughout Arkansas.
