Lunsford W. Bridges has been President and CEO of Metropolitan
National Bank in Little Rock since 1985, and was voted “Business
Executive of the Year” in 2000. Bridges’ list of civic and
community activities include Director on the Board of the Federal
Reserve Bank of St. Louis and Chairman of its audit committee,
Director on the Board of the Arkansas Banker’s Bank in Little
Rock and Director on the Board of Metropolitan National Bank.
Bridges is also past Chairman of the Little Rock Regional Chamber
of Commerce, Board Member of St. Vincent Health System and
Fifty for the Future, and member of the Little Rock Downtown
Rotary Club.
Born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Bridges graduated in 1959 from
Baylor Preparatory School in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Bridges
earned a B.A. in Business and Economics from Hendrix College.
He attended New York Institute of Finance, National School
of Real Estate Finance at Ohio State University and Southwestern
Graduate School of Banking at SMU in Dallas, Texas.
Lunsford Bridges is married to Carol Bridges and they have
four children, Chris and Todd Bridges, David and Kelly Wassell
and four grandchildren. The family attends Trinity Episcopal
Cathedral. |
