Risk
Factors is an annual report that contains archival
data for 92 indicators in 75 Arkansas counties. These
indicators are measures of risk factors developed by J.
David Hawkins and Richard F. Catalano at the University
of Washington's Social
Development Research Group. These factors have been
found to be precursors of substance abuse and are also
related to other risk behaviors such as juvenile delinquency
and violence.
Risk Factors
for Adolescent Drug and Alcohol Abuse in Arkansas was
developed in cooperation with the Arkansas
Department of Health and Human Services, Division
of Behavioral Health Services, Alcohol
and Drug Abuse Prevention. with federal funds from
the Substance Abuse and Treatment Block Grant, Substance
Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, U.S.
Department of Health and Human Services.
