2008 Economic Impact of Arkansas Volunteers

Historical Comparison

Five groups: state agencies/organizations, counties, cities, public schools, and United Ways have been included in the economic impact study during the past twenty plus years. Chart 2 on the following page displays a three-year comparison of the hours served by volunteers for these five groups. For this year’s study, organizations were requested to use the dollar value of $19.51 per hour for their volunteers’ time and $100.00 per hour for volunteer hours contributed by board members. This $100.00 value is based on an estimated average of hourly professional fees.
